Heads the BRIG Litigation Department. Throughout his career of more than 15 years, he has provided advice and represented recognized national and foreign companies in the agribusiness, construction, insurance, banking, energy, and telecommunications sectors, among others, both in judicial litigation and insolvency proceedings, reorganizations and settlements, as well as in national and international arbitrations

 

Similarly, he has advised transnational companies in the execution of state contracts. He is a member of the promoting commission of the recent Law that establishes in Panama a special regime for reconciled reorganization processes carried out due to the national emergency of COVID19 pandemic.

Graduated from the Universidad de Panamá (Sigma Lambda, 2006), Diego also has a Master's Degree in Procedural Law and Private Law from the Universidad de Panama, a specialist in Contracts and Damages from the Universidad de Salamanca (Spain), and a specialization course in  Juridical Negotiable Relations at the Universidad Externado de Colombia.

He is the current President of the Insolvency Commission of the National Bar Association of Panama and of the Young Arbitrators Group Association (YAG) CESCON, (Association of Young Arbitrators of the Conflict Resolution Center). Likewise, he is an active member of the Colombo-Panamanian Institute of Procedural Law, and has been a speaker on Litigation and Arbitration issues at multiple events.
