Mariel Núñez Choy, Associate

Mariel Núñez Choy specializes in Litigation and Arbitration processes, as well as alternative methods of conflict resolution.

 

She has participated in various litigation processes in which he has advised both private companies in matters of Construction, Corporate Law, Civil Liability, among others, as well as States. In turn, he has advised national and international companies in important negotiations, seeking effective solutions for complex conflicts. In the field of advice in the public sector, while practicing as a lawyer for the Ministry of Economy and Finance, she managed and directed international investment arbitrations before the International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), together with the team of lawyers representing the Republic of Panama.

 

She has a degree in Law and Political Science from the Santa María La Antigua University (Panama - 2012) and a Master's Degree in Conflict Resolution with an emphasis in International Commercial Arbitration from Pepperdine University (California, United States - 2014).

 

She has participated in various international law competitions such as the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition organized by ILSA and the Capstone Mock Arbitration of American University.
